About us

SKO Trapezitsa 1954 is the club with the longest history and the greatest international successes among youth athletes in Bulgaria.

The club was founded as part of the Trapezitsa 1902 Tourist Society and, following its example, has introduced – and even anticipated – world trends in orienteering.

The first orienteering competition in Bulgaria was held in Tarnovo; so were the first races on a special urban map; and the first knock-out sprint race and the first national knock-out sprint championship were introduced and organised by our club.
