Full calendar →Training
The orienteering club runs training sessions for children and teenagers from 1st to 12th grade. They take place in the town's parks and neighbourhoods and in the mapped areas around Veliko Tarnovo.
Training takes place at the Ivaylo stadium: M/W12 and older – Tuesday and Thursday at 18:00 and Friday at 17:00; everyone else – Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 17:00.
Everyone is welcome to join and to:
- learn the basic symbols of an orienteering map;
- learn to find the cardinal directions with a map and compass;
- do sport in nature;
- complete an orienteering course on their own;
- make new friends and take part in fun and challenging games with children their age.

Camps
Winter, spring and summer camps; ski camps, camps abroad, in the mountains or by the sea – every year we organise several specialised camps for our athletes. They help them sharpen their map skills, face new challenges in unknown terrain and get to know Bulgaria and the world.
In 2026 we have already taken part in these camps:
- Ski camp at Uzana
- Camp in Spain
- Spring camp around Byala
- Summer camp in Romania and Serbia
In the coming months the club plans several more camps, including:
- Winter camp in Spain – between 20.01 and 07.02.2027
- Winter ski camp
Competitions
The club takes part in most orienteering competitions in the country. This gives everyone the chance to test themselves not only against a challenging course in unknown terrain, but also against athletes from all over the country. The full competition calendar is on the website of the Bulgarian Orienteering Federation.
Beginner groups
At the beginning of May and September our club opens its doors to new children who want to take their first steps in orienteering.
For several weeks the young adventurers take part in sessions full of movement, games and challenges in nature.
Guided by our coaches, the children gradually learn the basic orienteering skills: reading a map, finding controls and making their own decisions.
We want the sessions to be fun and useful. By the end of the month the children can complete courses in unknown terrain on their own and even take part in real competitions.
The beginner groups are for children aged 7 to 14.
